China’s exports to Belarus, which has a long land border with Russia, were up 290% in March 2023 from a year earlier. We’ve focused on the dramatic rise in China’s direct exports to Russia, but those data may understate the scale of how fast China’s exports to Russia are rising.

In Feb. 2023, China exported $96.3M and imported $458M from Ukraine. Negative trade balance of $362M. Between Feb. 2022 and Feb. 2023 the exports of China have decreased by $-549M (-85.1%) from $646M to $96.3M, while imports decreased by $-293M (-39%) from $751M to $458M.

China Exports to BRI(C)S+, Russia+Belarus, Iran, have just exploded. In the case of Iran (largest China export increase) directly related to compliance with Pax Sinica with KSA. Most likely the same for Russia+Belarus : you abide by the contract, you have everything you want.
